In 2012, Philips announced their intention to discontinue the Philips HeartStart FR2 and 7 years later they announced the end-of-life support for HeartStart FR2 AEDs and most FR2 accessories. While the FR2 adult pads are being manufactured and shipped by Philips, the child pads and official battery are not.

Although we have been able to source (non-original) batteries that are compatible with the Philips HeartStart FR2, they are non-recommended and could compromise the device’s reliability.

The Philips HeartStart HS1 Semi-Automatic

The Philips HeartStart HS1 Semi-Automatic Defibrillator is a compact device designed for use by anyone. It is simple to activate in an emergency and offers step-by-step voice prompts to guide the rescuer, helping to maintain calm while delivering treatment. The HeartStart HS1 also features a CPR guidance button that, when pressed as directed by the unit, provides audible prompts for performing CPR. The HeartStart HS1 is also available with the slim carry case or standard carry case.
