CPR & AED Training For Up To 12 Delegates
Our CPR and AED training is designed to be delivered to up to 12 delegates at a time and is delivered by a qualified first-aider. We deliver practical, hands-on lifesaving training for workplaces, schools, community organisations and public environments. This course equips delegates with the confidence and skills needed to respond quickly, deliver high-quality CPR and use an AED effectively during an emergency.
Our training sessions are designed for anyone whether you have prior experience or not and supports organisations looking to improve emergency preparedness and meet health and safety responsibilities.
Why CPR and AED training is essential
In the event of a sudden cardiac arrest, immediate CPR and early defibrillation can significantly increase survival rates. As the use of AEDs becomes more widespread and they're added to more workplaces, the need to know how to use them increases.
In-depth training in the use of automated external defibrillators (AEDs) is not currently part of either the Emergency First Aid at Work and First Aid at Work courses. However, HSE encourages awareness training in these courses as it instils greater confidence in the use of AEDs.
It is not compulsory for employers to purchase AEDs to comply with the Health and Safety (First-Aid) regulations 1981. However, if your needs assessment identifies an AED need then we recommend your staff should be fully trained in its use.
