When treating children aged between one and eight or weighing less than 25kg, select the device's paediatric mode. The device will then adjust its operation and energy output.

Why is it important to replace defibrillator pads?
Defibrillator pads are single-use medical products that contain an adhesive gel that ensures they stick to the patient and conduct the shock from the AED. This gel can dry out over time and expired, damaged or used pads may not adhere properly to the patient's skin which can affect the delivery of treatment.
It's recommended that you replace the pads after they've been used, once they reach their expiry date, if the packaging has been opened or damaged or if the pads show sign of damage.
