The battery provides around 5 years' standby life and enough power for at least 150 shocks at 360 joules. The battery is easy to install and the device will let you know when the power is low so you know exactly when your battery needs replacing.

• Primedic HeartSave Y Semi Automatic Defibrillator 
• Primedic HeartSave YA Fully Automatic Defibrillator

Why is it important to replace your defibrillator battery?

A defibrillator battery allows the AED to perform regular self-tests to alert you to any issues with the device and enables the device to analyse the patient's heart rhythm, deliver a shock and provide instructions during a sudden cardiac arrest. 

It's recommended that you replace the battery before its expiry date, after use or when the device tells you the battery level is low to ensure your device is fully operational at all times.
