Why is it important to replace defibrillator pads?
Defibrillator pads are single-use and contain a conductive adhesive gel that can dry out over time. Expired, damaged, opened or used pads may not stick to the patient properly which can affect rhythm analysis or shock delivery.
This means it's important to replace your pads immediately after use, before the expiry date on the packaging and if the pads have been damaged or opened.
